چکیده
In structural engineering, mass dampers are used for reducing the response of structures and improving the performance of a building under excitation loads like earthquake and wind. Today, engineers used control science to guarantee the workability and robust of a structural system in conditions that would occur during time and life of the system. There are a lot of methods for this purpose in the past that considered by researchers and one of the procedures that were very interesting in recent studies is soft computing. These types of systems are dedicated to system solutions based on artificial intelligence methods and provide a very useful tool for complex engineering problems. The control of response based on soft computing approach reviewed in this paper and in this way, the mass damper was selected. The studied literatures were considered in four parts including artificial neural networks, fuzzy systems, neuro-fuzzy and also optimization algorithms.
